Default Track Evening

Forgot to mention it to you guys and ended up being there mostly on my lonesome! After a 4 year break from riding on track I took the plunge with a last minute evening with No Limits at Snetterton last night - the only spaces left were in the "Inters/Advanced" group which on my standard Hornet I thought might make me a mobile chicane but it wasn't too bad - the old girl did me well and not everyone overtook me which I will take as a victory! lol The whole group was made up of trackbikes apart from me, 2 Street Triples and 2 road sports bikes! My peg stubs are now totally ruined - ground clearance was a definite issue!! I think I will just remove the stubs next time and grind the pegs themselves! :lol Saw just touching 135mph on the speedo at the end of the straight... brrrm brrm!

Enjoyed it so much I am thinking of booking another evening on the 11th August - anyone else up for it? Its a bargain at £37.50

Dang Skip, wish I could have made it. Its a long trip for me just for the evening.

Every other track day session has conflicted with work or something else

I need to do one before the end of the year

They are running out Dickie! Evening ones suit me best because a) I am tight and b) you still get 4 sessions and c) I don't have to take holiday from work

Yes, the price was attractive for the evening sessions for the MSV ones I saw.

1. Yes, I am tight too

2. I'm aware they're running out & little opportunity to do any, with the school holidays on the horizon.

3. I try to fit them in on my days off, when my wife isn't at work. So far none of the planets have configured in my favour to allow this to happen Likewise I'd like to save my holiday time off

I'm tempted now. Have already got the road bikes only day booked up. Have now put renthal ultra lows and 14t front sprocket on so tempted to do the evening one so if I hate that setup for the track I can switch back before the full day ...

I'll be solidly in the novices though.

How did you get on Joe - other commitments prevented me from going in the end

It was ok. Only did 2 sessions in the end - Heavens royally opened after that which stopped track action for over an hour and I headed home.

Got scraping both knees though which I was chuffed about though (Pretty much first time - barring one corner briefly on the last session at last trackday)

The renthal bars are just as good on track as they are on the road so they'll be staying on.
