the UK character in a nutshell...
We haven't had a smile of the day in 10 days but we had a gripe of the day 2 days ago. (grumble, grumble).
 oh, and gripes are at about 7.5k posts whilst smiles are 4k. |

I think what Seeker is saying is that he's relying on us to cheer him up, but we're a bunch of miserable whinging poms who wouldn't know a happy story if it crawled inside our leathers and bit us on the ass.

The gripes tend to result in more responses than the smiles, so I'd hazard a guess that there's lots more pages on the gripes due to extra replies to each actual gripe. The smiles don't tend to start conversations as much.
