Attempted theft of my SV
My neighbour has just told me that on Weds night he chased 2 people off trying to force my Garage door open. They were obviously after my new pride and joy.
It really ****es my off that they think they can just come to my house and take it just because they have seen my on it. Needless to say the car is now pushing against the garage door, 3 new locks fitted, bike ground anchoured, new alarm fitted with pager etc etc. Thing that really ****es me off even more is that they will get it if they really want it. SCUM OF THE EARTH. |

Re: Attempted theft of my SV
Mayeb some improvised CCTV set-up to identify them? Or leave your garage open a crack at night and sit inside with a couple of mates and a baseball bat?

Re: Attempted theft of my SV
what a pain in the ****! i'd leave it on the drive, and sit waiting! alternatively if prison isn't your thing try these
http://www.bikesecure.co.uk/pages/ride_framed.html shotgun cartridges that go off if the garage is opened - and perfectly legal edit. that link takes you to the main page- select 'garage mine' from the drop down menu |

Re: Attempted theft of my SV
Leave a message on your bike saying that they have already been spotted and that your neighbour across the street has CCTV pointy directly at your garage and could well have already called the police.
It might not work, but you have nothing to lose. |

Re: Attempted theft of my SV
you can get an alarm for the garage for about £60. You can even get ones that go off inside your house instead of the garage. Remember thieves want a bike, any bike. If yours is obviously going to be a hard steal they know there will be another around the corner and go for that. a few hundred pounds in security (decent chain/s ground anchor) is transferable to every bike you own, and worth every penny.
doesn't take away the fact that they're such little ****s. Nearly always kids too! |

Re: Attempted theft of my SV
I was reading my Datatool S4 manual last night - apparently you can buy a kit to link your garage door up to the S4 - might be an option for you
