Don't they have a tendancy to keep the stones within themselves??

Mine runs at 90 round town without a rad cover (K4).
I thought I read somewhere that the fuel injection SV's ran hotter in order to keep down any exhaust emissions

I was going to get a Hamicad rad protector & new rear end as they have special offer on their website at the moment if you buy them both , but as I ride into town everyday it's got me a bit worried about the temp getting excessive (not that there's any chance of that with the good old British summer in full swing )

Anyone else got any experience of temperature increases after fitting a rad cover

I too am a Hamicad man! Rad and oil cooler grilles thank you very much! My bike runs normally at around 86ºC when pottering around in town and that is with temps here normally just a tadge above what Old Blighty gets! If in stop start trafic then it does rise to 90 ish.

Well I simply worked out how much the cost of a new rad was (and nearly fell over) against the cost of a cover and forked out the £22 for a stainless cover off of Ebay immediately!

A no-brainer I suggest.
