Default Project Cat D

Bought for £300.

Only just got round to really working on it. I was going to put fairing back on but some difficulties sourcing some bits so now going a different direction.

Not been run for almost two years but started and ran fine after changing all fluids. I just want it road worthy and MOT'd before winter. It ill be tidied up next year. Some pics cos I can

Liking the forks.

What was the spec when you got it? (mileage, damage etc)

Just to compare with the cat D I got for £400.

Oh Actually it's either a 'C' or a 'D' . Depends on the inspector anyways.

Stuff damaged on it were top fairing, one side fairing, right front forks fairing/clock bracket, radiator and that's pretty much it. Everything else including the tank(surprisingly)untouched and mint. When I say mint I mean MINT . Milage about 4500 miles.

Rider got hit while stationary by an uninsured driver
All told it'll probably cost me about £600 finished after selling bits I don't need to keep.

Kylie best deals are usually private deals where
1)the owners have either been paid by the insurance and bought bike for a nominal figure.
2)Owner involved in an accident with no other party involved and did not have comprehensive insurance.

In either case, time or money contraints means the bikes are taking up space and the owners just want to get rid off. It's just luck of the draw most times to be honest with such mega deals. Always going to be a bit more expensive from a breaker etc.

What Ben says, but in summary, cat d means fix it and off you go; no need even to get it MOT'd (just done that with my bike after my accident) whereas cat c means some (minor it seems) paperwork
