Where to go this w/e Wales or the Lakes??
Me and a mate are hoping to take off saturday morning for a decent ride out somewhere with the intention of finding somewhere to stay over and return sunday... hopefully get a bike of exploring done.
Anyone have any recommendations of routes, places to visit, cheap hotel/b+b would be welcome as so far we have just decided on Wales or the lakes.... Anyone wishing to join us for a ride of the weekend are welcome too!! Cheers Dave |

Well I'm off to the Rugby Saturday, so cannot join for a ride in Wales. If you do fancy Wales, you can try staying at the bunkhouse we used on NW4 rideout. Some good routes from there (if I say so myself) can be found here

You could stay at the Westwood in Welshpool (I think it's £50 for the night with breakfast) give them a bell and speak to Shorty or his missus Di tell him:
"My mate Stretchie recommended you, Stretchie.... He's a biker.. He's said he's not Spiderman...... YEAH that's him"

Highly recommend it. Owners are bikers and the facilities are great - not to mention the Snowdonian Rd's. |

By the way, if you say all the above about Stretchie and the landlord still doesn't know who you mean, just say 'Ladies Toilet Window'. |
