Sometimes I consider visiting a mental institution when I can't ride my bike. (not one that's closed though)
Mostly I just sit around and pout while muttering swear words.

This is true, although if the building's quite undisturbed and you don't go round bouncing off the walls you would have thought the risks pretty minimal.
Knowing how many tradesmen have no idea what it looks like or was used in or how recently it was stopped being used is slightly more scary.

I worked there (office worker, not nursing staff) over 15 years ago. Some incredible stories that are almost unfathomable and a very, very sinister 'museum' which was basically just some rooms locked away in the bowels of the complex.

I'll never forget some of the things I witnessed there, amazing to think how much we've moved forward as a society in less than 200yrs.

At the risk of being seen as stupider than normal how do you access these places ? I mean do you just climb a fence ? and wouldnt these places look good shot in grainy black and white or even infrared ?
