Got up stupidly early to try and clock as many miles on the R6 before it's first service! Recent sh!tty weather has hampered me riding it recently. Went over to Box Hill - Awful ride - cold tyres, wet roads leaves everywhere. Since I got up so early, I wore my clear visor and now the sun is blinding me! Clear visor is also stretched somehow and keeps popping off the helmet on one side.
Get to the dealers 306 miles - a tad shy of the 600 I'm supposed to have done . Anyway, gets it's service and air filter recall done whilst I wait for an hour and a half. Sit on a few bikes whilst I wait - GSXR600/750, Ducati 748, ER-6f, Busa and an 05 R1. Can't believe how high the seat is on the R6 compared to all the others! Service done, ride home - bike now absolutely covered in road cr@p and wet. Boo.

Sunday, went for a 90 mile blat up and around Morton on the Marsh after a spot of what seemed like trail riding over all the broken tree bits from the heavy winds and quarry crud. Roads were wet and plenty of fallen rainbows on one or two of the roundabouts at Cirencester. A much better ride back home though, stayed on the 429.

The bike really needed a clean afer that one, so was given one

Much cleaner than Triumphumphumphs' bike well always a first time.
