Finally got the gsxr sorted after last year's theft. Braided lines fitted to the SV, wezmoto ones, not overly impressed with fit of oem setup the over mudguard line is a little too short to for in the guide and this causes the plastic block on the joint to start to open. Oil and filters done on both bikes. Gave both bikes a clean and finally got rid of the fingerprint dust of the gsxr. Need to get some new panels but they will do for now.

May have peaked a little early for the lockdown but paranoid about moving the bikes (walking) between the garage and the house

I have Wezmoto lines on my SV too Andy, and when I bought them they were all much too long. The guy at Wezmoto insisted they were the right ones for my curvy 'S' - "I've sold dozens of these with no complaints" - but finally, and reluctantly agreed to replace the lines with ones made up to my measurements.

Reframed my GSXR track bike. Been meaning to do it for years but kept putting it off. Only took an evening and following morning to do, ridiculously easy!

Got the forks and shock serviced on the triple, just in time for us to be locked down, so haven't been rushing with it as my commute is now faster in the car with no kitting up needed. Finally got to putting them back on yesterday.

Spotted I could do with some new front pads - probably need to strip/clean the pistons.
Cleaned the Scottoiler res out as its been on years and was getting a bit of muck in there - need to re-tube.
Took the gear lever off as there is a bit of lateral play so ordered a new bushing and will try and press the old one out tomorrow.
Need to harpic the headers and give it a general clean, this winter I used XCP not ACF50 and dirt/grit sticks to it like *** to a blanket.

I've got a feeling there's going to be a few very clean , polished bikes in the UK soon. I've never bothered trying to make the VFR shiny as it's a bit of a mess generally and good to not be precious about it. But with a bit of time to do it rather than ride, I tried out the Harpic headers cleaning method today. Then set about the years of caked on corrosion with a combo of dremel, wet and dry, wire wool and autosol too. I was amazed that there is actually some shiny metal under the crust. More to do tomorrow but it's getting there.

That's the trouble with faired bikes, they hide and collect all the crap.

It'll all be coated in ACF50 before it goes back together anyway, so won't look clean again once the engine has warmed and burnt it all on.

So with the cable tie holding the new braided brake line really annoying me to the point I was going to order another set form another manufacturer I went back out to the garage to measure the line Vs standard. I then had a lightbulb moment and removed the wezmoto supplied cable guide and removed the rubber sheath from inside it, cut the cable tie off and located the original longer guide on the original lines. Took some boiling water and put the rubber in it for a few minutes and then fitted it to the original guide. Squeezed it together a bit to stop the line coming out as it much smaller diameter and am now really happy with the fit. When I get the bike out next will grab a picture as may help others

Fully stripped my 2001 SVS.

Stripped and cleaned the carbs
New oil / filter
New coolant
New Venhill brake lines front and rear
New brake pads front and rear
New brake fluid front and rear
New wheel bearings front and rear
New chain and sprockets
Led bulbs fitted to dash ( blue/white )
New carbon hugger fitted
All exposed parts given a good clean

Think that’s all just now

Half fitted a USB outlet on the VFR. The supplied cables don't quite reach the battery. That's ok... I'll just pop to Halfords for a couple of rolls of extra I thought... oh no, wait..
