Managed to get out on the MTB for a bit this morning - it had been far too long since my last outing. Have really not been feeling like getting out there and being active, but the recent nice weather is helping.

Also managed to get out on the Motorbike to do some shopping too. Not a nice scenic ride i'd normally go for, but none the less still pleasant to be out and about. It dawned on me recently that June is only 3 months away when my trip is planned for (providing all goes well)! So i think i can start looking forward to it now.

Booked a long weekend away in mid April, just after the next lifting of restrictions.

It was so cheap i couldn't resist a mini bike trip away for a few days. And to start building up the Bike stanima for June

SotD is the astonishing generosity and kindness of people, some of whom I have never met, and know only via other people.

Throws into sharp contrast the meanness of spirit of my church landlord, and one or two of the chapel people who are trustees to the chapel and the house I live in.

Many people in those positions are "Do as i say, not as i do"

faith/beliefs is one thing and religion is another. i personally have no problem with peoples faiths/beliefs but have a big problem with religious organisation. religion has killed more people and will continue to do so than any disease or virus has ever done all in the name of 'ones god'. if there were no armies and religion the world would be a better place.


religion is mental torture and should be banned till people are the age of consent at which point they can make their own minds up which camp they want to fall into instead of being brain washed. we talk about children being physically abused, but nothing is said about religious teachings abuse.

I feel much the same. If you want to be a Jehovah's Witness then that's fine with me if you keep it to yourself just don't start knocking on my door trying to convert me.

My cousin is a JW (converted when he met his ex Mrs).

Plenty of funny stories about them/the faith - especially when they did a trip to.........the National History Museum. I'm not sure how much of it they actually saw/vs bypassed. But there was plenty of funny stories from the day.

My Aunt struggles to contain her laughter sometimes at some of the brainwashed mumbo jumbo that comes out of his mouth. And the worst thing is he is an intelligent bloke (well qualified, self employed, earns decent money), bar being blinded/conned by this religion that is.

Emotional intelligence is worth its weight in gold, not to be confused with being intellectual with exam certificates and letters after your name..
