Cheaper to go spectate at most clubs. Tickets are £25 or less for seated
If rugby players go down, they're injured or knocked out
Drinking is allowed in the stands

1. Tickets : yeah too right I agree there. the top flight ticket prices are a joke. Far too much money in football, at least rugby learnt from it in that sense and got the caps in early.

2. Change the record, football has its war hero's just as much as any sport. The fact remains that while football decisions are made by some individual on real time info only then appealing is always going to be a part of the game. Make issues resolved by an unseen body and all that farce disappears, take goal line technology for example. I've not seen one instance of demonstration against a decision since Hawkeye was brought in this year.
If you want rosey then you need the video ref and a sin bin and then football becomes just as slow and laboured as your precious rugby.

3. Really? Drinking in the stands is something you approve of? At cricket fair enough, little occasion in cricket causes opposing fans to be of full spirit simultainiously. Football is instant from jubilation to dispare as I agree some moments of rugby can be, but mixing that level of undulating atmosphere with a few pints was, remains and always will be a terrible idea.
