Default bike sounds like a war zone

so my bikes been through a bit. She was sat lonely for a while then i finished putting her together and took her on a long ride (700km) and after this i noticed i'd over filled her oil. So i sorted this out. But she's been sat again for a few weeks and now she doesnt sound so healthy. I think the front cylinder is slipping a beat every now and then so i took her for a little ride to see if some cobwebs just needed blowing through but could feel it every now then while riding. Also when i throttled off she'd make a noise you'd normally expect in a gun fight. Not just one little pop, but a few large pops. Now could the extra oil have fouled my plugs causing the issue in the front cylinde, and could this also be causing the popping. I hope someone can help, any advice is appreciated.
Thanks in advance all
Ant.!

Is running rich an issue with the banging (stock choke) does the end can smell of fuel.

How long has the fuel been in there, maybe it's a bit ****e/carbs a bit gummed up causing fueling issues and missing?

FWIW, that's just what I'd look at first, I ain't a mech
