Default Peek Speed cameras - do they work on bikes?

went through one the other day in the pouring rain low vis at night never saw it was dong 50 coming out of Leicester at 11pm though it was a 40 so only 10 over, now turn's out it was a 30 .. so 20 over the camera is damn near impossible to notice in those conditions the only thing that gave it away was the lines on the floor

now what i have found out is they flash, but thats about it, never saw it flash but in the conditions i cant really say if it did or not.

any one got any more info, and can they catch bikes ?

If the camera is positioned so that it can capture your number plate, then yes it can catch bikes. The trigger point on most cameras are set a little higher than the specified limit, but not 20mph.

30mph camera's are 9/10 set at about 36-38mph, if the flash didnt go off, its because its the camera i went past a few months back in leicester and someone had spray-painted over the flash hole, so if your lucky, it wont have picked up the number plate
