Default Ride out to a brewery

Now I've caught your attention,

Simple idea,

Ride from up here (Wigan) via that there Lancashire to a brewery here;

http://www.saltairebrewery.co.uk/

Then to near Sheffield, hopefully to find a brew stop and back again.

No dates yet, no poll, no discussion as to a route, just an idea to put into your heads for spring with time to ferment and develop!

Pete

So where are we going to stay near the brewery? No point riding to one and not engaging in sufficiently sincere worship of the brew gods.

hmmm are there? Theres only one or maybe two, but then I'm local. Full of potholes, and traffic jams particularly through the doolallyvalley.

Oh I dunno I had a good blast down to Bacup and Todmorden and the road from Hebden Bridge to Keighley aint half bad. Not lakes quality but still. 2b fair it was a quiet weekday and i'd been stuck on the M6/M65 all the way upto Burnley so was a welcome relief

anything would be a relief for that lol
There is a nice little cheeky road from my house over to the Hebden/Oxenhope road...well it gets pleasant once you've avoided the large off roading potholes as you pass the windfarm!

Nowt wrong with a bit of offroading, I've done that regular and rattled the 125 to pieces haha. Tis better than it used to be though.

yeah it is, my first encounter with that road was so bad, after 400 yards and me screaming at Matt we turned back LOL.
These days the big ones have been filled in, it used to be just ''where the hell are the flat bits?'' and its only a short bit of inconvenience cause its a proper nice wee road after that.
