Ethanol Question?
Hi all, I seem to remember reading in the owners manual that Suzuki says not to run gasoline with a 7% or higher ratio of ethanol to gasoline? Here in the states federal requirements of 10% ethanol on all pumps is just going in to effect.
 A bloody joke if you ask me! Am I going to damage anything by running the higher ethanol blend? I also can't seem to find my owners manual currently, so second question would be am I remembering correctly on the 7% or lower ethanol blend, or am I just losing what small brain matter I have left??  Any and all replies welcome......even the smart arsed ones!! |

Yep, Zookie says. that. But, I've run my '00 on 10% ethanol for 100,000 km = 63,000 miles with no apparent ill effects. HTH.

Might go a little lean.
Edit: presuming methanol and ethanol burn in a similar fashion, which looking at their properties, they should do.
