A sad start to the day
This kind of thing annoys me.
Oncoming car approaches roundabout with two exits, one left, one right. One lane on approach, 30mph. 95% of cars at that junction go left, the majority indicate. This morning I saw a fella coming towards it, in the rain, and just turned left, can't remember if he indicated, but he didn't slow much. His trip was obviously very important. Shame he didn't see the old fella on the mobility scooter who was doing the same. Raining heavily, yes. Excuse? None. Collision, yes. Police and ambulance, shortly after. I hope one was OK and the other prosecuted for due care and attention. |

Re: A sad start to the day
Did you offer yourself as a witness to the Police? Or to the old guy to help with his insurance claim?

Re: A sad start to the day
Do you mean one of these electric 8mph scooters with no lights etc.
That in itself is very wrong imo,but still doesnt excuse the guy hitting him.

Re: A sad start to the day
I think they can if they have adequate lights and they also are supposed to have a flashing orange light due to the speed they travel.........but they never do and are a complete danger when on the road, especially in treacherous condition where visibility is poor anyway.
