My rear tyre is down to 2mm , thinking of changing it , what depth do you change your rear tyre at ?
I think the legal minimum is 1.6 mm? Cheers Steve

legal minimum is 1mm for a bike... 1.6 is for a car. But you change it when it becomes \_/ shaped, or you think you need to.

Hows the middle of the tyre? Is it all squared off? If your just using the bike for commuting and genrally bimbling around, then keep it on until your down to 1mm. No sense in forking out loadsa money for another set of tyres when you still got some left of your current ones!
For winter, let them heat up properly and you'll have plenty of grip Matt |
