i was quite rudely woken this morning with a phone call from my bf, telling me our vw beetle has seized a piston.....and he was being towed back to his mums by the AA.
he then proceeded to ask if he could get a lift back to work on my pink sv.....(although all he said throughout the journey was 'i look gay') lol, matt has a GSXR750, in the process of being fightered, and has no rear end, thanks to Danny at just motorcycles! so, my darling bf is now bikeless and carless....... i have just received a msg saying he doesnt need a lift home tonight, as he is borrowing a 50cc scoot from work..... i will be out waiting for him to get home with my camera waiting....... hehehe |

It's a common thing to go on them, make sure you have a close look at it

Oh yes if there's no water flowing round them the cylinders get too hot, especially on the beetle engine

![]() it'l defo be the water pump then, they are famed for it, probably been low on coolant, bet thats whats caused it, you should always check the coolant on old style beetles at least once a week as they are prone to coolant leaks honest, a guy down our pub told me that ![]() |

Or the antifreeze being low in cold weather, thats always bad on an engine with that type of cooling system
