Re: tail tidy for curvy?
not available as an aftermatket purchase because the tail is integrated into the oem undertray. i asked the same question myself when i got my '99 curvy
here is a template for making, or butchering if you will, a new undertray that will accept an aftermarket tailtidy, but it seems like a whole load of nightmare. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/junej.h...te/rse_end.htm Alan Last edited by maultin; 11-12-07 at 09:04 AM. |

Re: tail tidy for curvy?
Do you think it needs it? The curvy back end looks tasty!
I can understand it for the pointy tho' as the number plate hanger really sticks out from the back of the bike, almost like it was an after thought of the designer.... |

Re: tail tidy for curvy?
You could fit one of the undertrays that are available, then one of the RSend plate mounts - that tidys it up a bit.

Re: tail tidy for curvy?
Suzuki made the best undertray for the curvy SV, it accepted all the OEM equipment and also came with the internal storage tray. It was a straight swop with the OEM tail section. Unfortunately it is nolonger available from Suzuki, unless a store has one instock (unlikely).
All other types require you to cut down the mudflap, if you are willing to do this I would reccomend the Pyramid Plastics one (its is also available colour matched). Maultin - You can make your back end a couple of inches shorter if you wish. Look carefully at the mudguard part of the back end, at the bottom of the number plate you'll notice that there is another piece bolted on the extend the mud flap down a bit. |

Re: tail tidy for curvy?
I've got a Pyramid undertray on mine and still have all my under seat storage as you only cut off the back section

Re: tail tidy for curvy?
i really like the look of the pyramid plastics undertray but at £130 i will have to think very carefully.
Dangerous Dave - any ideas of how much butchery i would have to do to the existing back end to fit the pyramid undertray? Alan |

BanditMania do several and there's a French firm something like FDR (but I know that is wrong). Someone will no dout come up with the correct name.
