they have been talking about the long way up for a while so obviously someone was bound to have beaten you too it

ohh great more bitching and moaning from those 2 , i think ill give that a miss, are they then going to milk it and do the long way diagonally. If its anything like the long way down it will be toss.

you know i only half agree with you.. if i had an opportunity to do something so fantastic and the only way to be able to do it was to have a film crew and everyone else sort it out for me and have a fantastic team behind me then i wouldnt say no

So would i ,but i bet neither you nor me would whinge like them and actually get on and enjoy it. be apriciative of the opertunity.

There are loads of guys and girls who've got on their motorbikes and trekked off around the world, usually with little or no money. You could start by reading up on Dan Walsh before you move to a real hero, Ted Simon.

Boorman and MacGregor have a shed load of dosh (just get the pictures of their workshop!!), an army of back-up including BMW, but still expect us all pat them on the back.

Yep, he had a bloody good stab for a first timer, but got injuried out. But with style... Can't say I'm a fan but I really expected the dakar attempt to be a joke, it turned out very different IMO.
