I want to upgrade and get something more sporty and sexy.
I've been riding for about 8 months now, having my curvey SV650S for a similar time, done about 4000 miles irc. I'm 31 years old now ![]() My budget was about £4500, maybe £5k -ish at tops including approx £1.5k px on my curvey. Ideally no older than a 2005 model with no stupid milages. One of the reasons I fell in love with biking was seeing how sexy the cbr600rr is. So in my heart I know I wanted something sporty, I just don't know if it will be practical enough for me in how I'd use it. These are the things I want it to be able to do, in order:
Popped into the Triumph shop near me, the Daytona looks lovely, next dry day I'll be taking on for a test ride. My budget may rise to for an exceptional offer, as my dealer offered a brand new Daytona 675 for 6.1k! I'd be interested to hear from those who have sports bikes, how their arses fair when doing a week or so abroad with some milage. I tried looking at the CBR600F, but that second seat bit just makes it look... well, unsexy! lol Can anyone help me out here with advice and suggestions? Thanks, David |

Look around for a CBR600FS. Similar to the F, but has seperate rider/pillion seats, amongst other things. Good bikes and more comfy than other more modern focused sports bikes.
I recently chopped my ZX-6R in. Great bike on smooth fast roads, but too wristy and hard for me - just got too uncomfortable. The 675 doesn't seem that different riding position wise, so if comfort is important to you I'd say make sure you get a decent length test ride. |

one of tha last bigger zx636r's befoer they went all tiny and pointy, i think around 2002? I'm not sure
My mate is quite tall, and he had one, and found it to be a brilliant bike. Fast, comfy, good weather protection, reliable, and sporty. Would certainly put some larger capacity bikes to shame Matt |

I'm not great with the whole mechanic side of things, so that's why I was swaying towards a bike no more than a few years old.
