Melody's Back On The Bike!!!!

Today was the day we arranged with Melody to get back on her bike. As most of you know, she got whisked away in a helicopter after an off.
Since then Yorkiechris has been beavering away in his garage to get her bike rideable again.
Originally our trip out today was just Me, Chris and Mel and a gentle ride back to her house.............well we kind of grew, and we met up with a few of the guys through 'the massive'.
I said to Mel right from the start that if she felt that she couldn't ride too far we'd head straight to her house, and try next time. But after fighting our way round a large roundabout and smudge barging cars out of the way, to get to the meeting point, Mel was definetly feeoling rather comfy. So we all went off for a bimble to Pately Bridge, with all the other lads.

I would like to thank all of you very much for being sooo patient and thoroughly charming, as you all helped Mel get over her fear.......because as soon as she left Chris's she was kacking herself
......but by the end of the ride she was absolutely buzzing.....in fact she said that she might not be able to sleep because of it on the phone this evening......so thankyou once again

At last bike and owner reunited it was looking decidedly miserable at being cooped up in YC's garage!

she did so very well. Very very nervous obviously at the beginning, and as she said to me the other day, cheers Lou for the 'gentle push'...lol.. She has had the standard dog bones put back in, as she was finding it sharp and tall..we convinced her it would make a difference, and she was so pleased she could get her feet on the floor!!!
What a difference a few hours makes, she really was bouncing about when she got home, she was peed off it was raining tomorrow

Tell me about it,

Today, the bike had barely stopped bouncing before Jambo and Sarj turned up, then before I had even got recovery sorted out, Sid Squid and Bear were on the phone.

Then a follow-up call from Rictus, offering the use of a bike, well it makes you feel a LOT better.

Then there are all the comments that have been made on the thread I started about it.
