Question problems cold starting

had bike serviced a week ago , the plugs were checked but not changed as I was told they were fine .
twice this week , when starting from cold bike will not start un-less I use a bit of throttle , it seems to idle slight low ( approx 1100) , once warm idles fine at 1400 , once started bike runs fine , never had this problem before ....

Its not the classic front plug getting wet as got a fender extender on

Could it be a bad batch of fuel ?

Any ideals ?

Cheers Steve

Check the choke is working properly (the plungers sometimes stick). I'd move the idle speed up a little.

Every bike is a little different, if it needs a touch of throttle to start, then runs fine, don't worry too much

Its a pointy so has Fuel Injection , will turn the idle up + 100 rpm

Cheers Steve

Are the throttle bodies balanced? Needing to use throttle to get it to fire is usual symptom if they're out.

If they're balanced and it still does it, then you can ignore it

Just got back in from work , bike started fine from cold with no throttle , settled into a nice idle ........ strange

I recon its because I've been looking at another bike (R1100S)
and its paying me back

Cheers Steve
