Thumbs up Ideal car

so if someone gave you the choice to make your own practicle car, what would it be?

my ideal car would be:

Engine - Peugeot 2.0 HDI 110BHP (would put in tuned ECU) - is a powerhouse as standard but with very good economy

Body - the new ford focus ST in grand candy blue - looks sexual

Interior - again the new focus ST or new Vectra

your go!

I kind of like the wolf in sheeps clothing.

For instance my passat has 5 seats, leather, enough room for the kids and shopping etc....

...but with a GTI engine it can leave a lot of cars in its wake, and the only clue is the red v on the boot

A late model scooby legacy GT-B with a lightweight twin turbo diesel (with 300 +bhp and 35+mpg), an interior by Spyker and styling/bodywork by whoever styled the Maserati Quattroporte. Not likely I think.

I'd have a caterham or something similar - much more practical than the SV (it has a boot!).

Failing that, it would probably have to be a Golf R32 or something of that ilk, a rabid animal hiding behind a sensible car shell. I did like the idea of the hayabusa-engined Smart thats doing the youtube rounds, as well.
