Never mind the brands (besides, there's more knowledgeable than me on that here) but if you can afford anything made from Kangaroo leather - get it.

Whatever brand you go for, check the seams to make sure they've been stitched properly (more than one stitch and at least one of which is hidden). There's no point spending loads of dosh on an expensive suit if it'll burst the minute you hit the ground, providing no abrasion resistance at all.

Also remember that leathers fit differently standing up compared to sitting on your bike! I saw some idiot at the BMF show buying a nice RST one-piece, which fitted him like a glove but I bumped into him in the parking area at the end of the day and he couldn't sit on his bike because the leathers were too tight!

Ah yes - though embarassing, the 'take-a-dump' stance is invaluable.

"take a dump" plus "YMCA" equals well fitting leathers IMO!

They were probably actually the right size.

You WANT them that tight, as leather WILL stretch.

You just need to wear them around the house for a few days before getting on your bike.

So dont really plan to ride home in new leathers.
