Windows Media Player... Help Needed!

Can anyone help?

Whenever i played music on my PC it used media player as the default which was great. For some reason without my changing it it`s suddenly using Itunes as the default and its a pain in the bum cos i can`t play whole files. I`m trying to change back to WMP as my default but how??? i can`t find anwhere that`ll let me do it

Open media player,

Files/tools/options/file types. You can then select which type of files windows media player will open as default

Hi Claire,

Open up WMP.

Go to Options.

Select the tab marked 'File Types'

Select All

Press OK

That should do it.

Shouldn't have installed the insidious evil that is iTunes.

I was helping someone out with their pc the other day. They had got an itunes voucher for a present and in order to set up an account they wanted to know everything about them (including a credit card number...)

Thats just wrong....

What happens if you buy, say, your 12 year old nephew a voucher?

I didn`t download I tunes... my son did

Thanks guys but i`ve just done all the above but it hasn`t worked... its still using iTunes as the default

Tell him to stop messing about with your computer, or you'll set up the super secret parents override code on his 360....

Try this,

Start.
Set Program Access and Defaults (Below Control Panel)
Then the little arrows next to 'custom'
Choose a default Media Player
Set it to WMP

If this doesnt work then uninstall Itunes.

Bit extreme but guaranteed to work!

Have used that threat before lol, it doesn`t work!!!

Ok done the above again but its still using iTunes.... aaarrrgh!!!
