Default Cleaning marks off helmet?

I am after some advice on getting some small marks out of a white Arai helmet.

The marks are very small and are probably from not cleaning off bug splatter properly, they seem to be stained in.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers

Dunno how to get the marks out, but for carbon helmets you can touch up the paint using the small car paint repair pots.

Cheers Jo

I have thought about painting thin coat to see if it would be drawn in and effectively stain the marks white but I would prefer to see if I can draw out the marks first.

How about Muc Off? Works on plastic bodywork so may be good for your lid too?

Muc-off might not be a bad idea, just wipe over with a cloth afterwards.

Another idea might be Jif? (Or CIF). It tends to be less abrasive than it used to be

I know, I know, there just seemed no way to word it without possibility of innuendo.

Jif or Muc-off could be painful might be worth a try on the Arai, cheers.

I'd say no to using Muc-Off. If the stain has penetrated the top surface (no sniggering at the back) then you are asking the chemical cleaner to do the same, and you can affect the integrity of the lid.

Also, do not use anything from an aerosol can (butane propellant can damage the EPS inside).

Xerapol maybe? If your helmet is shiny, that is... Just don't polish it too hard though you might leave even bigger marks.

the arai i just got should be cleaned with warm soapy water and nothing else according to the shop, anything with alcohol in will make the side pods brittle.
