Default Postage Help

Calling on the knowledge of the .ORG

I need to send some stuff to Jersey and the address has a UK type post code.

So my question is do I just post as normal using say SPECIAL DELIVERY or do I have to use INTERNATIONAL POSTAGE as it is not on the main land??

Thanks

Good question, I use a franking machine at work, think it is classed as UK though mate so normal. Best to enquire at post office about it though to be sure.

Yup - UK.

Some companies try to hike their postage costs my having UK rates for 'mainland' UK only - so excluding Ireland, Channel Isles, Shetland Isles, Hebredies etc...

... but if it's got a UK postcode then it's a UK delivery, so no need to use International Signed for.
(Though I think you do for anything going to Falklands, Gibralter etc)

Falklands, Gibraltar are 2 of 14 British Overseas Territories whereas Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man are Crown dependencies rather than Overseas Territories.

That explains the need for Int. Signed For - rather than the weak explaination in my head of they're just alot further away.
