Exclamation How You Know When Your Tyre Is BEYOND Squared Off

Had my tyres changes today... I've known that they needed changing for 2 months, but have wanted as much mileage out of them as possible.
Needless to say, by the start of this week, I was pushing my luck!:

just wondering because i've done 4300 now and they told me at the 4k service it needed replacing soon so i'm wondering can i push it to 5k (just bought a CG hack yesterday because i'm sick of paying for SV stuff and ?100 for a tyre i dont want to pay but i figured the CG would be perfect for work.

It's not a straight forward answer, for a start we can't see the wear on your tyre, we don't know how you ride, etc...

Think of it this way, its the only thing sticking you to the ground apart from gravity. Safety first!

Well after about 10 miles tomorrow i won't be using it probably for a month so i'm not gonna replace it now.

Good idea, store the bike with knackered tyres its a good winter hibernation tip also.
