Default insurrance quickie

YES ANOTHER INSURANCE THREAD!!

just realised today that i have done over 5000 miles since i insured my bike and i told my insurance company that i would only 5000 a year. Does this now mean my insurance is invalid and im riding illegally?

does it cost me extra if i phone up to tell them i've gone over it??

cheers

prob wont make a difference but if u dont tell them it may be a small loop hole for them to use and not pay out if ever u needed them.

Did you tell them how many miles were on the bike to start with?
If they don't know, what can they do?

Unless you declared your mileage then how are they to know how many miles you've done....unless they're on the ORG.

I'm with Carole nash and apparently if I go over then I'd have to pay the first ?250 of any claim. But they don't know what mileage the bikes on anyway, the last MOT was ages ago with the last insurer
