We went out yesterday and the bike covered 292 according to my curvy speedo. Googled the route taken, and due to the nature of Google you can get it almost inch perfect. Google reckoned 284 miles. So about a 3% discrepancy, Not bad IMO. Also Drew and I reset our trips at the last fuel stop and over 92 miles our readings were 0.02 miles different. Highly consistent.

However do NOT trust a route from Google Maps. To get from my place to where I used to work you would make 1 illegal turn (a no right turn) and then be knackered pushing the bike up the stairs that connect Farringdon Road and Holburn Viaduct (for those non-Londoners, Holburn Viaduct crosses Farringdon road about 40 feet above :P )
