Thumbs up Newbe

HI all,

Just thought i would introduce myself, I live in Blackburn and i am picking up my sv650s k6 on thursday. This is my first bike, but i have had my liecense for about 10 years though.

Is this a good bike to start riding on. I really dont have a clue about bikes so any tips and hints will be greatly received.

If you have any boots, jackets or trousers going cheap give us a shout, i may be interested.

Once again HI to all

How do, and welcome to the forum.

Personally I think the SV is a great first bike (it was mine anyway), I'm pretty sure you won't be dissapointed.

There's a fair few folk on here from over your way, so make sure you get out and about and meet up for some of the ride outs - always a good laugh.

Have fun

if its your first big bike then its a good choice. It can take a while to get used to the engine braking, but once you've cracked that all is good.

Welcome fella.

I once rented a bike in Blackburn, from a place based in a go-kart track round the back of the train station - if I recall correctly! it was a Kwak GT550, and it broke down on the M62!

SV's are great, you made a good choice. I'm on my fourth bike, but my first sv.
