well not exactly chicken wire but i believe i could get the correct grating down my local car shop, i would use the sheet grille with holes.
i am gonna cut to size to fit lower fairing holes but am really stuck with how to fix it to the back of the fairing, as i don't have a plastic welder or know anyone that does i was wondering how i could achieve this.... i have seen many designs of the grille i could use. please give me some tips to installing these as i am stuck..... thanx guys... lee... |

I've done that, I used some fire grate from B&Q. Nice gold stuff it was, I'll see if I can get a pic.
Oh and as said, use a hot glue gun and just bend the grate around the holes to get the shape right. |

Glue gun, very cheap to buy, or get a fibre glass kit (?5) and use the 2 part bonding liquid.
The glue would be the easiest to do and easier to remove/replace at a later date if required. |

I used a soldering gun and melted it into the back of the fairing. looked real nice once finished, till the laquer my mate sprayed started flaking. had to take it out as it began rusting. gonna do it again soon but do everything myself. that way i'll take more care!

Yeap, glue gun is ok for all weathers. Sand down the panel inner just a little and make sure the surface is clean and dry for the best adhesion.
