Default Oil filter question

Are there any pattern oil filters to avoid using ( apart from really cheap unknown brands) because they are poor quality and likely to cause problems or engine damage?

Just get a Suzuki one. They are no more expensive than pattern ones and they will definitely work.

I've used champion and other aftermarket ones in the past without a problem (touch wood), but I recently found a chap selling genuine ones (with the washer, which you never get on 3rd party ones) on fleabay. When I bought 3, the p&p was so cheap as to make it only about ?1 more apiece than aftermarket ones.

+1

I also use hi-flo. This was recommended to me by one of the guys at Busters Accessories, when I asked about the difference between OEM and a pattern.
