Default Personnal Loans

Just got a quote from Lloyds for a loan to pay off a lloyds credit card and another Lloyds loan.

Nearly fell off my chair when she quoted me the 20%APR figure,

Is there something i don't know?

Cheap credit's getting hard to find Also, some of banks now weight their APRs dependant on credit search results. And it's common practice to hit smaller borrowers with higher APR, for various reasons, it might be worth requoting with a different amount. Did you take protection? It's often not a very good idea that, depends on your circumstances.

Just did a search of my lot, the Bank of Scotland standard loan rate is 8.4%. But that's credit search dependant I think.

UNless you've had issues in the past may I suggest giving HSBC a try. DO NOT apply online......as with most banks you can actuall get a better APR in the branch.......thats what happened with us. APR went from 17% to 12%......just depends on who you are, history etc.

Better still, don't give the buggers the opportunity - cut up the f*cking card and pay off as much as you can afford every month. I cut up mine some years ago, fed up with being shafted, and oh how I don't regret it.
