Battery Help please sv650s riders!
Hi all,
On a trackday, my bike battery made a noise like a hissing. I removed it and found it was very hot and the plastic edges had expanded. Do you know what the problem is? I have replaced the battery and a guy had checked the voltage when revving in neutral and it stayed at 13-14 volts throughout rev range.

Does sound like a reg/rec problem but if your terminal voltage is between 13-14V that sounds OK to me? Strange. could be the reg rec is on the way out or an intermitent issue or the extra heat from the trackday somehow caused it to malfunction, although I've never encountered that before.

Goosed battery with a knackered cell.
And even if it wasn't before it is now.
