Default SHARP ratings available

Just got an email saying that SHARP has their first batch of helmet ratings available. Should provide some fuel for the cheap helmets are great/rubbish, why would I pay a million for a brand helmet type arguements.

My HJC CL-ST gets 3 stars. Seems about average then

You can even look up the 5 star helmets they have tested so far... At the moment the wins are AGV, Arai, Bell, HJC, Lazer and Shark.

I think loads of folk are going to be saying things like that. Interesting how well some of the "budget" helmets do...

yeah, i have always heard the how much is your head worth routine, and to a certain degree followed it. but this does make you think how much of that money goes towards the name. (i know expensive lids are lighter etc as well)

Hmmmmm, privately run, trying to promote a brand, no details of tests carried out, not sure I'd be using it as a reference myself thank.

Cheers Mark

It is an independent government scheme.

My Xr-1000 didn't fair too well, and I think thats the UK's most popular helmet.
