A4 for sale type poster thingy

good people of the org, how do i go about making a for sale poster for my bike.......... you know, like the lost puppy ones you see on lamposts,somtimes offering a reward, with the picture on the top and the writing underneth

Have you got MS Word (or similar I suppose)?

Start with Insert>Picture>From File...

Presto! A picture in a document!

Couple of boshes of the return key then the words. Job, in a very real way, done.

i have wordpad? but cant seem to add a picture

If you dont have MS word, the I'd reccomend downloading OpenOffice (free).
Click this link, for the windows version of openoffice. http://openoffice.bouncer.osuosl.org...&version=2.4.1

Then you can do your writing and add a picture by selecting "Insert > Picture > From File" from the main menu bar.

Simple!

I have nothing to do atm really Hovis. If you send me a photo and some words you want adding to it i could make one for you using Photoshop???

You can do it in MS Paint, its not great but it will do the job ok.
