Unhappy Nitro helmets?

Just wondered If any one out ther has a nitro helmet particularly the N3** VX range. as I have just bought similar, before the new sharp test results came out
How are they on the whole as I see they only get 2 stars despite other Nitros fairing better
Always thought they where cheap slightly nasty helmets but the one I bought seemed quite cool and ticked all the boxes.!!!

Hello there. My brother recently got himself a Nitro helmet (not sure of the model though) and he is happy as Larry in general. Silver with the little vents on the top. I suppose as long as a helmet has the gold sticker on the back then all is good!

He only paid 50 quid for it as well.

Graham.

Ive got the Nitro N700-V http://www.thebigbikeshop.biz/nitro-n700-v-53-p.asp

Had it since my 125 days and I was happy with it then. Since getting the SV I've been eager to get something thats a bit more expensive (and presumably works better).

I have an N800v and it worked perfectly when required, should replace it really.

My mate Danny threw his RGV250 racebike down the track at about 100mph on Wednesday at Mallory Park's afternoon test session, he was wearing a Nitro N1200-V. The bike seized as he was about to turn into Gerards and threw him over the bars and onto the tarmac head first. We chucked the lid in the bin cos it was scraped to hell and not useable again, but Danny drove the van home, so it did its job.

I've crashed three times in Nitros and never damaged my head or neck despite all of them being unuseable again...I trust them implicitly.

I went to the bike show last year with the intention of getting a new helmet, every intention of paying silly money if required as I'd used Nitro before and heard all the nay sayers, thought i'd try the other shape helmets now I can afford if pushed.
Turns out I have a Nitro shaped head, the best helmet I found was the N1600-VN, am really impressed with it, wouldn't change it for anything.

I have an FFM M9 helmet, which is 'manufactured' in NZ. It's a rebadged 1600VN, and to date it's the best helmet I've had. It fits perfectly, is stable in the wind, and mine is in a rather fetching black and grey scheme. (Looks remarkebly similar to the helmet that Dean Thomas used in BSB in 2004). Goes very nicely with my silver/blue K6 S.
