Unhappy SV write-off

Well, what a crappy day...yesterday a friend managed to bin my beautiful pride and joy down the road and it is a write-off (the lock stops were snapped)
I feel like a bit of a fool as I keep getting all teary about it
But, the one good bit of news is that the guy will be transferring ?2500 to my account in the morning.
The obvious choice is to get another SV, and I seem to be looking at ones from 2003-2005. Being used to a curvy one, are there any things I should look out for in the pointy world? I'm only 5'5", so are there any particularly tall years I should avoid?

Aww sorry to hear about the SV going to bike heaven, I love the Pointy, I am 5'6" and had a lowered seat, didn't bother lowering the bike.

Go, seek and enjoy!

Yup indeedy. K4 onwards are all the same height though IIRC, and you can always alter the dogbones and / or cut out some of the seat padding.

Sorry to hear about your curvey BTW.

Repair it!!!!
I had lockstops welded back on ...cost me £10.

So what's the real damage. Ignore what insurance estimates say. I was looking at one estimate today for £6,500 that could be repaired for £1K

feck you're getting £2,500 for a curvy! you should be singing from the roof tops, you would never get that selling it.

I am keeping it, will be turned in to parts. Basically the forks are bent, whole front fairing and screen smashed in, both clip-ons bent into the tank, tank with multiple dents, RH footpeg and gear selector sheared off, I could go on but must get to bed!
I am quite pleased with the ?2500...it's amazing what guilt can do : )
