Beautiful old tudor pub on Black & White Village trail with ancient market square and church with seperate bell tower. Reasonable food, XXX Beer recommended, (I'd avoid the other taps and drink bottles).

It's on the A44 between Leominster and Kington, heading towards Llandrindod Wells, Rhayader, the Elan Valley and some AMAZING roads. Look out for tractors and very dodgy surfaces though, there have been fatalities.

If there is a black SV 650 parked outside Church Cottage, please knock!

There is also and amazing pub called The Old Harp at Old Radnor just off the A44. Fantastic food, incredible views, nice rooms at reasonable rates, friendly staff and locals and some lovely guest ales! Well worth checking out on the way up to wales....Borth.....Aberystwyth.....The Damns.....
