Default YC's down.

S bend today, into it fine, barely cracked the throttle open on the exit in 2nd at maybe 20mph but the back end came round and dumped us both on the deck. MissY_C appears to have mostly landed on me.

No injuries to either of us, except for me having a slighty bruised foot, and Maria having a fuzzed seam on her leathers.

Having looked at the road there was a tiny patch of diesel, but I can't see why this should have had us off so I can only surmise it was me trusting cold tyres a little too much.

Oh well.

The bike, after parting company with us, bounced wheels first into the verge and ended up at right angles to the road on the normal side.
Anyway, the damage to the bike was both brake levers, a slightly bent and "worn in" R+G, swingarm slider and barend. Complete with about 2lbs of vegetation and soil. If anybody would like some for a small potted plant then please send a PM.

Melody is a star, brought us a spare lever over, and we've been out on the bike again this evening due to being stubborn f###ers. Both a bit wary of right hand corners now but that'll pass.

Ironically, we had just dropped a deposit off for Maria's CBT next Friday, she does not appear to have been put off

Blimey, normally I'd say something like "try to get back on the bike as soon as you can" but I see you're way ahead of me!

Glad to hear you're both OK though mate. Hope you can find a decent mechanic to put the broken bits right...
