Isle of Mull 08
Just back from a brilliant weekend on the Isle of Mull. Beautiful place
The journey there on friday The view from the hotel Saturday - A lap of the island at a nice leisurely pace. It was a bit misty to start with but it cleared up Calgary bay Fionnphort bay, which looks across to Iona We went exploring up the cliffs But we were being watched Filtering through cows, who were sh*tting all the way along the road, so now our bikes are covered in it Tobermory bay Heading home sunday The petrol station on Mull was shut when we were leaving so had to take it easy until we found another one. Set a new record for a tank of fuel for me |

Re: Isle of Mull 08
It's really nice there isn't it. Went over last summer, but just for the day which it turns out wasn't enough to do a proper tour. Deffo plans to take the bike over - maybe next year. I forgot Mull has much better (ie. proper) beaches unlike Skye, damn!
BTW, when you were in Tobermory did you go for a boat trip to see the wildlife. Stunning! Seals, sea eagles, porpoises and dolphins. We missed the orcas tho by a week or so, they migrate towards Iceland through the Sound of Mull and the Minch. We quietly coasted right up beside the dolphins further up the coast. They were playing around the cruiser, under the hull, across our bow etc. for a good 20mins or more. The crew even put down a sonar so we could hear them calling each other. So good we would consider going again. Amanda was crying with joy! Re. petrol - yup, that's the island way of life! Not that i've run outta fuel.....this month.... yet!.... |
