OK guys I am urgently after a part for my car and am resorting to scrap yards etc. Long shot but does anyone have or know anyone with a Peugoet 206 3 door that they are scrapping.
I have a 2002 3 door XSi and the front passenger seat runners that the seat sits on has broke. There is a lever at the front of the seat that you lift to move the seat on its runner and something has broken underneath and the seat is locked in forward position. I cant move the seat back to get at the bolts so it's going to have to be hacked to peices just to get the seat off, so a complete runner system is needed. I am ringing around but thought I would post on the off chance. HELLLPPPPP

You can usually pry the locking mech up without having to resort to cutting the frame.

The lever on the seat normally connects to a set of locking pins under the seat, can you not crawl onto the back seat and release the seat locking pins from behind the seat by sticking your hand underneath it?

This is of no help what so ever, but if you are ever up my way I've got a roof rack you can have for free.
Bought for a hire car - so only used once. How random is that? lol

Have got to the locking mecahnism by taking the side panel off, well my brother has anyway, we even had a mechanic on the case.
The locking mechanism will release but the seat still will not slid back. There is something broken off which looks like a strip of metal which runs between the runner attached the seat itself and the runner bolted to the floor of the car, this is broken and the broken bit we cannot get to as the seat is locked forward. Hard to explain, you got to see it. Tis is enacsed in the runner itself, Pics will come when not raining LOL Had a screwdriver to lift the catch that holds the thing in place, I assume something underneath has bust and this is the bit that needs fiddling with, just no way of getting to it, even from crawling in the back etc etc. Arrrggh French cars !!

If you turn the car upside down then this broken off bit might come out and you can then get it to move ...
Either that or only take short passengers ... HTH!! ![]() On a more helpful note .. Like the others, I can't believe a screwdriver in the correct place won't sort you out ... |

Shelly, your car is French in name only. This may give you a clue: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/c...re/4919312.stm |
