ACF-50 offer - busters
There's an offer on 2 for £22. Good for sharing as it lasts a long time.

Re: ACF-50 offer - busters
Is this the gold stuff that i see sprayed across BMWS during the winter months or is it more like WD40 type spray?

It's purple! Anti-corrosion spray you spray one once - when winter starts and leave it on - take it off (good luck) in Spring.

Whats the surface finish like?
Not bothered about whether its dull or whatever as I'd only be doing the forks, engine/ associated and the underneath of the bike. But is it sticky or anything? |

Re: ACF-50 offer - busters
I used it all last winter. Its not tacky to touch, but, crud does stick to it and thats what you want. The idea being, clean the bike......apply ACF50 (it goes everywhere so be careful)........then ride. I cleaned the bike half way through and it acts as a barrier with all the crud on top.

Re: ACF-50 offer - busters
Seems like a good idea I suppose..
Will the gathered crud wash off easy enough? For example with some cleaning/dislodger type spray and a jetwash? |

Re: ACF-50 offer - busters
The wash after having used it is a more vigourous wash and bit harder to do, but well worth it. There are a couple of bits I missed or rubbed off, but generally, kept the salt at bay.
One thing I got in the habit of doing was leaving the ACF50 on, leaving the dirt on it, but then spraying Scotoiler FS365 over the bike just to protect any other bits.....but FS365 isn't water resistant like ACF. Also remember, when applying, DO NOT SPRAY!!!! this stuff seeps everywhere, best way I found was to wrap up the brakes and then put ACF50 in the lid and "paint" on with either a brush or finger in a rag. Once applied to downpipes.....you are legally required to sart up the bike.......sit back......and smell the sweet sweet odour of burning ACF.....one of the nicest smells around....trust me.

Re: ACF-50 offer - busters
You can also now get it in Hein Gericke for £12 per can. As Badger said, one can will last, still have half a can of mine.
