Does anyone know how to wire the following circuit?
I've got my FICA test in a week ![]() It is a two way and intermediate lighting circuit with a key switch override "on" switch. A Landlord switch Anyone?................ anyone? |

Don't know, would it be like one of the 2W+I schemes (2 wire or 3 wire) here plus the override switch direct between L and Sw.L ?

I'm no sparky, but the easiest way to achieve a two way lighting circuit is below:
In that circuit, whenever SW1 and SW2 are not in the same position (up vs down on the diagram), the lamp illumiates. Whenever SW1 and SW2 are in the same position, the lamp has no current flowing through it. To turn this into a "landlord key system" - you'll need a 240v key switch, similar to the image below. Wire this between the lamp & neutral, so that the landlord can completely disable the entire circuit. ![]() EDIT: Just checked the link above, and look at the "Two way plus intermediate" diagram. The landlords key switch is supposed to turn the lights on, regardless of the position of the other three switches. Not off
