Default Spray paint advice

Hey all

I got a question for any one who has resprayed the bike with spray cans.

I just finished mine and its really good its all back on my pointy sv. I just did the tail fairing as it a few scratches on it. I got the right colour match after lots of research. I got the paint from morrilli paint shop, I avoided using halfords paint and lacquer..
I used a morrelli's lacquer also. Now i have being using my bike for about 2 weeks now and i noticed that rear fairings scratch very easy. Is there something i am missing out on. Is there something i need to do to make my fairings that i just painted and lacquered immune to to scratches we sort of !!!!

What sort of laquer did you use? Most aerosol clears are pretty soft unfortunately.

What type of paint did you use and how long was it allowed to dry for before the lacquer was applied?

Hi
As i said the spray paint is from morreli's paint shop. There meant to be the best paint suppliers around. I normally left it 24 hours between sprays. I left the laquered layer about 1 week before i put it back on the bike.

Also i am not selling any parts to my bike....

It's not necessarily a case of "best" or the paint being bad or good. There are several different types of paint, but I believe that cellulose paints are the ones that end up in spray cans. I believe you're supposed to leave them at least a week or so between the last coat of paint and the first coat of lacquer to let them cure properly?

Anyone who knows about paint what to confirm / deny?

As far as I've heard if you want properly hard lacquer then it has to be the nasty 2-pack stuff which you can't really use in your kitchen.
