SV 650S and pillions
I initially wanted to get a gsx-r600, but then i tried to get insurance, and I can kiss good bye to that, so I then asked on another forum for recommendations on other 600 bikes with a sporty look which are cheaper to insure, and i've found my answer in the SV 650S, just one quick question, can it carry pillion, because on the wikipedia article it said it can't, and it would be a big - for me
Of it can't, are there any official mods you can do to get the pillion capacity Many thanks Mark |

Re: SV 650S and pillions
No problems with pillions, don't know what wikipedia is on about.
EDIT: I can't find where it says you can't on wikipedia either. Druid

Re: SV 650S and pillions
Where does it say that on wiki?
SVs have back seats as standard. |

Re: SV 650S and pillions
The new k8 sport model has a seat cowl where older models have a pillion seat, however I wouldn't know if suzuki dealers supply the pillion seat when buying a new bike or not.

Re: SV 650S and pillions
My K6 sport came with both a seat cowl and a pillion seat+grab handle, its a case of undoing 4 bolts to put the grab rail on then clip the seat on. 5 minutes.

Re: SV 650S and pillions
My K8 Sport came with the pillion seat in a cardboard box.
The grabrail was already fitted, simple matter to remove cowl and fit seat. |

Re: SV 650S Pillion opinions
My Missus reckons the SV650's rear seat is the worst she's ever ridden, she slides everywhere all over it when I accelerate or brake. She think its cos its a stepped seat, all my other bikes were straight bench type seats with one level.
Opinions guys? I was thinking of getting one of those non-slip seat covers - Triboseat http://www.ekmpowershop6.com/ekmps/s...s-21-320-p.asp Anyone got one? Steve |
