Re: My new (or not) Car!
Haha Hondamatic! Slap a B18 in there and you have an awesome 3G Civic.

Re: My new (or not) Car!
Lot of folks suggesting the best mods for your hot new ride. I reckon with a bit of work you could turn it into a real mean street machine
A bit like..... (original thread - http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/car-t...y-new-car.html ) Sorry Plowsie, couldn't resist |

Re: My new (or not) Car!
Those Hondamatic gearboxes though were quite state of the art werent they? Just ultimately flawed (although I cant remember the reason why). I saw an Accord at a classic car show the other day and it was immaculate, with the Hondamatic box.

Re: My new (or not) Car!
Indeed a good result peeps. The rims are the first job. Then Stereo then if I can afford it and understand it, i may actually look at getting some speed through it.
Mum came up to me and said "are you getting rid of that bike now?" "No mother, I'm leaving it in the garage for a few weeks so I can do some work on it" |

Don't spend too much on visible extras - boss will think he's overpaying you!

Re: My new (or not) Car!
Remember that security on cars of that age is next to useless, open the doors with a blunt lollypop stick usually, so don't go putting expensive ICE in it if you want it to stay there.
My favourite security device on old cars is a switch on the dash, preferably OE spec like a fog lamp switch so the same as the others, nice and visible, for the fuel pump relay or ignition feed or similar. This saved my sister's old Mini several times, scallies give up pushing after about 200yds apparently

Re: My new (or not) Car!
I'd say that the first job should be to sort out that dodgy offside door - it doesn't shut properly does it ?
Best solution - weld BOTH door up Dukes of Hazard style Happy to Help
