Default Any good deals on SV650s bikes in Scotland?

Hi everyone, I'm currently riding a CBR125 up in Inverness and trying to get my direct access practical test out of the way. I've decided on an SV650S for my next bike for which the cashback annoying expires shortly. My local bike shop did have a preregistered SV650S for 4K which would have been ideal but unfortunately when I went to go for it, the bike had been sold and they can't get another one in before the end of the month which means no 400 pound reduction.

Does anyone know if any Scottish dealers have similar deals on an SV650s I could slap a deposit on until I get my test passed (hopefully within four weeks) or a decent place to search for them? I've tried autotrader and MCN but they don't seem to be picking up many new SV650s bikes.

Thanks,
John

i know its a bit out of your way .. but try cupar mc. i got mine for £3995 inc tax and full tank petrol. you might be able to squeeze some goodies out of them if you try hard enough at this time of year.

I'm looking for a brand new one especially with some of them selling for just 4,000 at the moment.

Thanks for the link to Cupar, that's what I was looking for as I knew there wouldn't be anything close by to Inverness.

Hi,

don't know if it's any good to you but click on the following link:

It's second hand but only just. I think it's about 100 miles from you, looks like a good buy to me.

With the credit crunch on now, it might pay to travel a bit further for a bargin. I know my Suzuki dealer has got some real good deals on at the moment.

Unfortunately I'm in East Anglia, which is a very long way from your place, as I've ridden as far as Dundee in the past.

However you could get a cheap flight down South & ride you bike back?

The problem is I can't ride the bike back as I haven't sat my practical test yet, if I had passed it and there was a good deal further south I'd have no hesitation in flying down somewhere and riding the bike back up.

As it stands, the Cupar garage seems a good bet as it's not too far to get a van down and pick the bike up. Admittedly if a dealer down south was selling it a lot cheaper and wouldn't mind putting the bike aside (with full payment upfront) for four weeks ago it's probably worth considering.

Thanks for that, well spotted - does look good, might drop the guy a mail and see where he is. My workmate is on holiday at the moment annoyingly, he's very into his bikes (races them, always stripping them down and rebuilding them) and I trust his opinion when checking over a bike. I'm still very new to the bike game so I can't really check over the bike properly.
